The final assessment of a student for promotion shall be decided on the annual record of the student based on 200 per subject, to be distributed as indicated below:

A student will merit promotion only if he/she has obtained at least 40$ marks in the total of the three examination [Quarterly Examination, Half-Yearly Examination, Annual Examination]. Securing 40% marks in the annual examination alone will not entitle a student to merit promotion. No grace marks will be given.
There will be one unit test of 20 marks before the summer vacations. For the holiday home work 20 marks will be awarded. 10 marks will be awarded to those students who are present on the last working day before summer vacations and the first working day after summer vacations. These marks will be added to the first term exam marks.
